Mental Health Services
Everyone experiences emotional difficulties at one time or
another. It's not unusual for a person to become depressed
or anxious on occasion. But if such feelings persist, it may
be time to seek professional help. The caring mental health
professionals at Firelands Counseling and Recovery Services
can help people deal with their emotional problems and maintain
control of their lives.
We provide a complete range of outpatient and inpatient mental
health services for children, adolescents, adults and older
adults. All counseling services are provided by licensed professionals.
Firelands provides a Rapid Entry Program to provide immediate
help, orientation or informal/formal consultation to persons
needing any of the services listed below.

Chemical Dependency Services
More than 10 million Americans suffer from alcoholism or
other forms of chemical dependency. Unless properly treated,
this devastating disease may result in the loss of an individual's
family, job, health, friends, money, self-esteem, even life
itself. The chemical dependency professionals at Firelands
Counseling and Recovery Services provide a complete continuum
of treatment and prevention services to help individuals and
families establish and maintain abstinence from alcohol and
other drugs. Services are available for adults, adolescents
and their families.
Chemical dependency treatment services are based on the 12-step
model of recovery supported by Alcoholics Anonymous.

Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Emergency
Services
The single most important service Firelands Counseling and
Recovery Services can provide is first line support for persons
facing a mental health or drug and/or alcoholic related crisis.
Firelands Regional Medical Center's mental health and chemical
dependency professionals are available 24 hours a day, seven
days a week to provide assistance to individuals experiencing
an emergency situation.
Emergency services are available Monday through Friday from
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. by calling the respective site locations.
After 5:00 p.m. and on weekends and holidays our Hotline is
available by calling 1-800-826-1306. If needed, a trained
professional can meet with the caller at one of the following
locations for a face-to-face evaluation:

NAMI of SENECA,
SANDUSKY and WYANDOT COUNTIES
NAMI of Seneca, Sandusky & Wyandot Counties is an affiliate
of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. We are a self-help
organization for families of persons with mental illness,
the individuals themselves and their friends. The National
Alliance is comprised of well over a thousand local and state
alliance groups across the country. Our goals are mutual support,
education and advocacy for the victims of severe mental illness
What we do
- Provide ongoing Family-to-Family Support Groups for the
families and friends of persons with severe mental illness.
- Provide a twelve-week course on severe mental illness
at no cost to families, friends and interested others.
- Provide one-on-one support, education and advocacy for
families struggling with sever mental illness and the mental
health system.
- Provided other educational opportunities to create awareness
of the realities of severe mental illness in the community
as a whole.
- Provide a strong voice so that the mental health system
knows and understands the needs of people who live with
mental illness.
What we can do for you
Membership makes you a part of the largest advocacy organization
for mental illness in the United States. You will receive
national and state newsletters with information on political
and medical events that will impact your life. You will also
be kept informed of the local changes and may choose to take
an active role in the system through NAMI.
The support groups and educational classes provide you with
a means of sharing and connecting to others with similar experiences.
While we learn more about the illness, we also learn from
each other.

What We Do:
- Recovery Services
Philosophy of Recovery - Recovery is a process by which
an individual with a mental illness recovers his or her
self esteem, dreams, self worth, pride, choice, dignity
and meaning. Its orientation is toward an individual’s
strengths. The goal is to restore and/or instill hope.
The Recovery Services team provides an array of supportive
services that are determined necessary for each customer
of NPI to live successfully and support their personal recovery.
- Consulting Services
NPI has assembled a team of experienced professional in
organizational development, affordable housing development
and financing, information systems development, program
development, grant writing and grant administrations.
- Development
Our Development department is responsible for three main
areas of operations
- The development of new properties,
- The development of grants, and
- Property maintenance / landscape.
- Financial
The financial division of NPI is responsible for all financial
activity within the organization, and is composed of two
parts:
- The program/corporate portion of our financial division
handles all financial activity concerning grants, loans,
corporate budgeting and salaries.
- The property management portion handles all financial
transactions concerning our tenants or properties, including
collecting rents and paying subcontractors
