| The Brown County Community Board of Alcohol,
Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services was commissioned
by the State of Ohio for the purpose of planning, monitoring
and funding mental health and alcohol/drug recovery services
for the residents of Brown County. The volunteer board is
comprised of eighteen Brown County residents who are appointed
by the Ohio Department of Mental Health, the Ohio Department
of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services and the Brown County
Commissioners.
The mission of the Brown County Community Board of Alcohol,
Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services is to plan and
evaluate for present and future services, to fund services,
to promote awareness of mental health/substance abuse issues
and to motivate the citizens of Brown County in their collective
response to
address
local community needs. Mental health and substance
abuse services are provided by the Brown
County
Brown County Recovery Services, a division of Talbert House.
