The Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services Board of Logan and Champaign Counties was commissioned by the State of Ohio for the purpose of planning, monitoring and funding mental health and alcohol/drug recovery services for the residents of Logan and Champaign Counties. The volunteer board is comprised of eighteen Logan and Champaign County residents who are appointed by the Ohio Department of Mental Health, the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services and the Logan and Champaign County Commissioners.

Logan and Champaign Counties MHDAS Board Mission Statement

The Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services Board of Logan and Champaign Counties is created under the Ohio Revised Code as an organization mandated to plan for, design and manage a system of care for mental health, drug and alcohol prevention, assessment and treatment services which meets the needs of our citizens. We are responsible for reducing both the incidence and residual effects of mental illness and substance abuse and for the stewardship of the public funds provided for those purposes. As such, we accept the responsibility to balance the achievement of quality outcomes from this system's services with fiscal accountability. Those who receive this system's services and those who provide the resources used to deliver these services see one of our key goals as being the restoration of consumers to independence and full participation in the social and economic life of the community. In pursuing our vision, we recognize the need to build a system for today and for the future which is open to consumer, family and provider involvement and which delivers quality services to consumers who find few barriers to accessing our system. To assure our mission is achieved, the Board works to build a system, which is coordinated with and takes advantage of opportunities provided through partnerships with other systems while continuing to assure effective management of our system. We strive to develop relationships with providers and our community who share our values of service delivery and accountability. We are committed to working with all of our "partners" to assure both their and our ability to be successful in accomplishing our shared Visions and Missions.
